DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
I wanted to see if I could write and direct a movie where actors never meet each other and only interface with the director.
So I wrote and directed this unconventional movie where actors never interact (meet, talk, hear or see each other), and only interface with the director. Over 97% of this movie was shot in this way. I never met any actor in person and I directed the entire movie remotely.
In doing so, I demonstrated that a movie can be produced in any conditions and with enormous cuts to the budget.
In a world where AI is making special effects less and less expensive (and most probably actors will be replaced by AI clones) I think that, what will still make a film connect to the audience, will be possessing an original creative story-line.
After years of extremely expensive movies full of CGI, but with very weak and unoriginal plots, movies need to go back to their roots of storytelling, just as another way to do it in addition to more traditional media, like books and stage plays.
